Background

FLI Precast Solutions was proud to contribute to the extensive refurbishment of the RAF Wittering Main Runway and Air Operating Surfaces (AOS). As a vital base for the Royal Air Force, RAF Wittering supports elementary flying training, logistics operations, and expeditional deployments.

The upgrade included:

• Runway Resurfacing with Marshall Asphalt
• Installation of LED luminaires for energy-efficient lighting
• Upgrades to electrical B-centres
• Replacement of approach lighting systems

Our precast F900 duct chambers played a pivotal role in modernising the airfield’s infrastructure to ensure operational resilience for light aircraft and heavier Air Mobility Force operations, including C17 and A400M.
