At FLI Precast Solutions, health and safety play a huge role in everything we do.
We pride ourselves on providing a safe environment for our employees. Therefore, when there’s an opportunity to embrace health and safety it’s important our actions match our words.
Health and Safety Week 2022 ran from October 10th to October 14th. It’s a national event among the construction industry but we made a huge push at our Carlow HQ.
Throughout the week we organised events, guest speakers, competitions, and prizes. As always, it wasn’t long before people’s competitive nature shone through.

Each day had a separate theme that included events and activities.

Education
Although we incorporated lots of fun activities and events to promote Health and Safety Week 2022, it is important that the key message is not lost.
On Friday, the theme was ‘Safety by Example’. We were lucky enough to have Dick Butler on site as a guest speaker.
Dick gave a really engaging talk to our staff and discussed some key messages regarding the importance of health and safety in the workplace.
We’d like to thank Dick for his time and effort.
Our Health & Safety Manager, Gavin Dooley also organised a quiz for staff to take throughout the week.
Using quizzes such as this allows staff to test their knowledge and upskill in a fun and engaging way.
We had a huge number of entries and the winners will be announced internally over the coming days.

Weeks such as this are an excellent way of raising awareness and ensuring health and safety is always front of mind.
At FLI Precast Solutions, our mantra of ‘Work Safe Home Safe’ is something that drives our culture.
In our industry, safety is always of utmost importance. We’d like to thank all who participated over the week.
We’d also like to give a special thanks to our Health and Safety Manager, Gavin Dooley for organising the activities and events throughout the week.
Health and Safety is something we’re conscious of every day we come to work but weeks such as this are important as it allows us to highlight key areas and engage and educate our staff.
We’re already looking forward to next year!
